Books that have helped me along the way.

Homeschooling isn’t only about choosing curriculum and making lesson plans. Some of the books that have helped me most have been the ones that challenged how I think about education, family, faith, and what we’re really trying to accomplish in our home.

Why I included this one: Reading aloud has been such an important part of our homeschool. I saw firsthand how much it helped my youngest improve his own reading ability. It reminded me that reading aloud isn't just something we do when our kids are little—or before they can read for themselves. There's real value in continuing to read together as they grow.

Why I included this one: I needed the reminder that homeschooling isn't about getting everything perfect. It's so easy to worry that we're not doing enough, that we're falling behind, or that we're somehow getting it wrong. This book helped remind me to let go of some of that pressure, faithfully do what I can, and trust God with the rest.
